Who Are the People in Those Photographs?
Good Question. And the answer explains both the pictures and our wine list.
“Wine is sunlight, held together by water,” a quote from Galileo that seems rather apropos in this circumstance. Being a family neighborhood restaurant, we are always in support of the family, the farmer, and anything we can do to support the concept of local.
Throughout Bouzy Gastropub and Chez Melange, you will see photographs of many Santa Barbara winemakers. These photographs are part of an upcoming book project called Sunlight and Water: Portraits of Santa Barbara Winemakers by Mark Robert Halper. Because Santa Barbara is a relative newcomer in the premiere world of wine, below we are proud to list and offer vino from many of the winemakers photographed.
